The persistent question on everyone’s mind is, “How long will the unseasonal rainfall continue?” According to weather expert ManikRao Khule, the unseasonal rain is expected to persist until May 19.

Significant Climate Change in the State
The state has been experiencing notable climate changes, with unseasonal rain accompanied by strong winds affecting many regions. Notably, Mumbai and Thane areas have seen intense rainfall with strong gusts, disrupting daily life and causing some accidents. This situation has led to widespread concern about how long this unseasonal weather will last. According to ManikRao Khule, the heavy rainfall is likely to continue until May 19.

Persistent Rainy Conditions in the State
ManikRao Khule has indicated that the current weather pattern of unseasonal rain will remain until May 19. He has further noted that after this date, the intensity of the rainfall is expected to decrease.

Heavy Rainfall Expected in Various Regions
Information suggests that Western Maharashtra, Northern Maharashtra, and Marathwada are likely to experience heavy rainfall. There is also a forecast for substantial rain in the Konkan region. Interestingly, this rain is expected to be beneficial for sugarcane crops. However, in many places, unseasonal rain has negatively impacted orchards and vegetable crops. Regions such as Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur, Pune, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Beed, Jalna, Latur, Dharashiv, Parbhani, Nanded, and Hingoli are expected to receive the most rainfall.

The weather pattern brings both benefits and challenges. While the unseasonal rain may aid certain crops like sugarcane, it poses risks to others, including fruits and vegetables. The public and authorities are advised to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions as the weather continues to evolve.
