In response to growing passenger demand, Air India is set to increase flight frequencies on three key international routes starting 7 July 2025. The expansion will enhance connectivity to neighbouring countries and offer more travel flexibility for both business and leisure travellers.
On the Delhi–Kathmandu route, the airline will now operate six flights per day, bringing the total to 42 flights per week. Flights between Delhi and Colombo will also see an upgrade, with two daily services now scheduled, amounting to 14 flights weekly. Meanwhile, the Mumbai–Bangkok route will increase to three flights a day, totalling 18 flights per week.
This strategic expansion will add over 7,000 additional seats each week, offering travellers more options and improved convenience. The flights to Kathmandu and Bangkok will be operated using aircraft configured in a three-class layout, including Premium Economy. This move is aimed at catering to a broader range of passengers seeking comfort without the price tag of Business Class.
Air India’s enhanced connectivity on these routes also ensures seamless onward connections to Europe, North America, and the Far East, strengthening its international network and reinforcing its role as a key player in regional aviation.
The increased flight frequencies reflect Air India’s ongoing efforts to meet passenger expectations and support India’s growing role as a central hub for international travel.
