Godrej Consumer Projects Double-Digit Revenue Growth

Mumbai-based Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., one of India’s top players in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, expects strong financial results for the first quarter. In a preliminary business update released on Friday, the company projected double-digit growth in consolidated revenue, reflecting solid performance across both domestic and international markets.

The company attributed this growth outlook to steady demand across product categories and ongoing expansion in key regions. Godrej Consumer is known for its presence in personal care, home care, and hygiene segments, and has seen consistent momentum in recent quarters.

East Westphalian Businesses Seek Stronger Trade Relations with India

Across the globe, companies in East Westphalia (Ostwestfalen), Germany, are increasingly interested in expanding their presence in the Indian market. This was a major theme during the ongoing International Business Days hosted by the Bielefeld Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

Participants highlighted the growing potential of India as a strategic trade partner, particularly for medium-sized companies. Areas such as IT services, manufacturing, and consumer products are seen as promising sectors for bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Gupte Highlights EU-India Trade Opportunities

India’s Ambassador to Germany, Parvathaneni Harish Gupte, emphasised the importance of deepening economic relations between India and Germany. Speaking at the event, he noted that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from both regions could benefit greatly from technology partnerships and digital innovation.

Gupte also underlined the significance of the proposed Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the European Union and India. If successfully finalised, the FTA could open new avenues for investment and trade, boosting collaboration across industries.

Looking Ahead: Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

With strong domestic growth prospects and rising international interest, India continues to position itself as a dynamic player in the global economy. As companies like Godrej Consumer show solid performance, and European businesses seek deeper engagement, the foundation for a stronger India-Europe trade relationship is steadily being laid. The potential EU-India FTA may serve as a key catalyst in this journey.
