Speculations on Former Congress MLA Vishwajeet Rane joining BJP have more or less been answered. Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has said today that Vishwajeet Rane will soon join the BJP and he will also be inducted into the cabinet. The development comes soon after Jr. Rane’s visit to Chief Minister’s bungalow on Sunday, April 2.
The meeting with CM Parrikar which Rane called to be a courtesy visit, media reports have suggested that Rane might have been actually told about the central BJP’s decision on his entry into the BJP. Rane’s entry may happen during the BJP President Amit Shah’s visit to Goa. A tweet by a Senior journalist was retweeted by Rane on twitter.
I am looking forward for my inning in BJP. I will contribute towards growth of BJP in the state reacts @visrane

Vishwajeet Rane had resigned as the MLA of Valpoi constituency on March 16, the day BJP was to prove its majority in the assembly. Rumours of Jr. Rane joining the BJP soon began to make rounds when Congress failed to form the government in Goa even after winning the highest number of seats. After Jr. Rane’s exit the Congress is left with 16 MLAs, still the retaining the highest number of seats in the assembly.
