CM Parrikar’s condition stable, responding to treatment: BJP MP

South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar on Monday said that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is admitted to Lilavati Hospital with a pancreatic ailment, is responding to his treatment and his condition is stable. The CM has been admitted to the hospital since February 15.

“Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai and is equally responding to the treatment. He is being treated by best of the experts and as per the information his condition is stable,” Sawaikar said in a statement.

The BJP MP also denied reports that Parrikar would be shifted to the US for further treatment.

Deputy Speaker in Goa assembly Michael Lobo informed that the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) was monitoring the medical treatment being given to Parrikar. “The PMO is monitoring the treatment. He is being given the best of the medical treatment and he is recovering,” Lobo said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Goa CM in the hospital on Sunday during his Mumbai visit.
