Goa Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Devesh Kumar Mahla has informed that citizens can now report a traffic violations captured in a photograph or a video. The traffic violators would be issued a challan (fine).
“Whenever you see a traffic violation, like drivers speaking on a mobile phone, or not wearing a helmet or driving on the wrong side of the road, click a photo or a video and email it to us on firstname.lastname@example.org. We will issue a challan to the violator immediately,” Mahla was quoted by IANS.
Efforts are being undertaken to control the number of accidents taking place in in the state. Strict measures are being implemented against traffic violations.
