Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was re-admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Sunday evening after he complained of uneasiness, an official at the hospital informed PTI.
Parrikar was accompanied by a family member to the hospital and was said to have been brought on a wheelchair.
Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane told PTI that Parrikar was suffering from dehydration, but was responding to treatment at the GMCH.
“We have posted specialist doctors who are monitoring his health continuously,” Rane said.
The CM had recently been discharged from the Lilavati hospital in Mumbai, where he was being treated for pancreatic ailment. He surprised everyone when he returned from the hospital to present the state’s budget.
Parrikar had informed after his return from Mumbai that he would be recuperating in the coming days and his interaction with the public would be curtailed.
