Chief minister Manohar Parrikar has launched an online public grievance system on today. The citizens can now submit their grievances online without having to visit the government offices. Grievance can be registered against any government department or organisation.
The portal at www.goaonline.gov.in went live at 10 am after CM Parrikar along with IT Minister Rohan Khaunte launched it at the minister’s bock in the secretariat complex.
To lodge their their grievance on the portal the citizens will first have to register by providing basic information such as name, address, mobile number, date of birth, email id and Aadhaar card number.
After that the citizens have to either describe their grievance or they can click a picture and attach it. The message will be relayed to the concerned department and in case they don’t know which department to address it to, the grievance will be sent to the ‘director of public grievance’.
The grievance will be address in the next 30 days. If not addressed by the department within 30 day, the director of public grievance will look into the matter. If he does not address the grievance in the next 15 days, the matter will be handled by a Secretary.
The service has been conceptualised by the Goa government to facilitate time bound delivery of services.
